As a child, my mother would make almost all of our food from scratch, from soup to sandwich bread. She felt it was unnecessary to have someone else make something for you without knowing how it was made or with what. She also believed she could always do it better for less. She had a passion for making others happy through their stomach. She learned that from her mother, who was a mother of ten. Over the years, I’ve found the same happiness in sharing what is necessary to sustain life and transforming it into a memorable and happy experience. I love to cook and bake, but won’t claim to be an expert in either. Rather, I like to innovate and try new things in the hopes friends and family will come together and enjoy themselves. This blog is dedicated to my mother and grandmother who have not only taught me to cook, but also inspired me to be passionate about something that can make so many people happy.
